Our business is structured so that we have the right people in the right place; improving our way of delivering.

Our structured training programmes for students and graduates include degree sponsorship, trainee schemes and sandwich course placements, allowing them to make the most of their potential.

New faces are introduced to our company, their teams and our way of working via a thorough induction, ensuring they can make a smooth transition into their new role.

Our strength lies in becoming a reliable and responsive partner for our customers. So that this remains the case, and to ensure that our vision isn't just words, we:

Structure our organisation so that the right people are in the right roles.
Task all senior managers to improve health and safety performance using the CHaSPI method.
Give all our site managers the power to issue unique red and yellow cards when they believe our strict health and safety guidelines aren't fully adhered to.
Continue to support the communities we work in, as well as our own Employee Trust.
Make half-yearly and annual appraisals available to all employees.

Our own trust, originally designed to look after the welfare of our employees, is continuing to do so as families feel the pressure of the recession.

We continue to fully support this trust, whether it's to help towards medical expenses, sports coaching, educational training or simply short-term financial assistance.

 

Our Charity and Sponsorship Panel provides much-needed funding for individuals and organisations who fall into the following categories: Youth, Education and Sport; Environmental and Community Projects; Health and Welfare and a Discretionary Spend.

We've donated over £45,000 to our chosen charities; Riding for the Disabled, Wildlife Trust, the Arthritis Society and a host of smaller but equally important causes, since the Panel was formed in 2007.

The Peter and Gwyneth Hodgkinson Trust was established in 1989. Peter; founder and former Chairman of Simons Group, and Gwyneth were keen to encourage and support others.  The Trust has a Lincolnshire focus and has several objectives.
