The Peter and Gwyneth Hodgkinson (PGH) Trust was established in 1989. Peter, founder and former Chairman of Simons Group, and Gwyneth were keen to encourage and support others. Peter strived to improve whatever he became involved in. He liked to see talent developed and hated to see it wasted. Gwyneth was very aware of the battles people faced in their everyday lives and the importance of family in helping get through these issues. Since that date, the Trust has donated over £75,450 to various charities.
The Trust is currently managed by the next generation of the Hodgkinson family. With a Lincolnshire focus, the Trust donates yearly with the overall objectives being to:
Education, relieve and re-habilitate young people in Lincolnshire who, by reasons of their social and economic circumstances, are unable to gain employment or to further their formal education.
Educate the public in the arts in particular by promoting concerts, lectures and recitals.
To protect and preserve features of special historical, architectural or archaeological interest.
To promote excellence in scientific or medical research.
In 2014 we donated £1,500 across 3 different organisations:
The Lullaby Trust
LYME (Lincolnshire Young Musicians Enterprise)
