Four industrial warehouse units, service yards and car parking comprise the distribution project currently underway by Simons in Basildon. Extending to 95,000 sq ft, the scheme requires an internal access road to link the development onto Endeavour Drive, receptions to the ground floor area and office space on the first floor of each unit.
Cladded steel frames will be complemented by composite cladding and glazing to the offices’ façade. Passenger lifts will be featured in units one and two whilst units three and four will benefit from hoist lifts.
Additional provision has been made behind unit one, to retain a six metre embankment, which necessitated sheet piling. A future requirement for a bus route meant that some services had to be laid at an increased depth.
This project will be another great example of Simons’ expertise in delivering a first class distribution solution for its customer.
