Four industrial warehouse units, service yards and car parking comprise the distribution project in Basildon, completed by Simons in January 2018.
Extending to over 92,000 sq ft, this prestigious scheme required an access road to link the development onto Endeavour Drive.
A large earthworks exercise to level and stabilise the site thereby minimising material to be carted away to create a workable development platform, coupled with steel sheet pile and gabion basket retaining walls in addition to extensive attenuation systems, were key operations required on this former greenfield.
Cladded steel frames are complemented by composite cladding and glazing to the offices’ façade. Kone passenger lifts feature in units one and two whilst units three and four benefit from platform lifts.
A future requirement for a bus route introduced further retaining walls, extensive landscaping and the installation of services at an increased depth.
The units have receptions to the ground floor area with office space on the first floor which have been finished to a high standard with raised access floors and carpet tiling.
