M&S

Rushden Lakes is the first UK shopping centre to be combined with a nature reserve. Shops and leisure facilities nestle between stunning lakes and nature trails, offering visitors more than just a retail experience to explore.

The 42,000 sq ft M&S store, constructed by Simons, features clothing, homeware, a food hall and café and celebrates the ongoing relationship Simons has had with the High Street giant since 2010. This latest M&S concept store opened its doors in July 2017 within a complex that boasts 230,000 sq ft of retail space complemented by the 200 acre SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) Nene wetlands reserve. The idea behind the concept is to connect a new audience with outdoor activities, wildlife and nature – as well as shopping!

Now, with 267 separate M&S projects successfully delivered ranging from straightforward re-fits to more complex re-modelling schemes and the full construction of new stores, Simons is delighted to be able to add Rushden Lakes to its list of achievements for M&S and to celebrate its continued working relationship with the company.
