"Simon Says" H&S and sustainability character competition with Lincoln schools launched by Simons
Simons Construction are working on the current refurbishment of the Waterside Centre in Lincoln, which will be completed for Christmas 2014. The construction company is inviting local schools to help improve the image of construction, in line with the company’s ‘Building Safer’ and ‘Building Greener’ policies.
Schoolchildren in Lincoln are being asked to design ‘Simon Says’, a character that will communicate health, safety and environmental messages to children on future Simons Construction sites. The character can be in the form of a superhero, a cartoon animal or even an object brought to life.
Entries can be either drawn, painted or collaged and must reach Simons by Friday 1st November.
The winner will then be shortlisted by Simons Group employees and the winner being announced at a photo opportunity at the Waterside Centre with Andrew Taylor (Chief Executive, Lincoln City Council) early next year.
The winning entry will receive an iPad mini, alongside being able to see their character brought to life. The class of the winning entry will win a VIP tour of the site and a comprehensive programme of fun classroom activities whilst the project is on site. As a way of saying thank you to the winning school, Simons are also offering to carry out a mini project for the winning school, to be clarified at a later date once submissions and requests have been sent in.
Submissions should be sent to Izy Hodgkinson (PR & Marketing Officer) at the company's head office.
