Simons cyclists cover 100 miles of Lincolnshire landscape for charity
Team members from Simons Group have taken part in Lincolnshire’s Castle to Coast to Castle charity ride, raising over £3,000 for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
Castle to Coast to Castle (C2C2C) is a Lincolnshire fundraising event that sees businesses from near and far coming together for the day and raising money for local and National charities. Since its inception in 2011, the event has raised over £44,000. As the main sponsors of The Childrens Charity’s ‘Team Theo‘ cycling kit, the team from Simons, Mark Noonan, Darren Wallace, Chris Marriott, Carl Hudson and Nigel Keal, joined forces with a number of colleagues from the industry and each covered the 100 miles from Lincoln Castle to the Lincolnshire coast and back.
Mark Noonan, Customer Relationship Director of Simons Group said of the event, “C2C2C has been a great day for the team and provides a wonderful opportunity to get outside with colleagues from like-minded businesses and for us all to enjoy the Lincolnshire scenery. Thank you to everyone who has donated to Team Theo, raising a phenomenal amount for The Children’s Hospital Charity and thank you to our guests, Jeremy Thornton (John Lewis), Richard Neasham (Brooker Flynn), Dave Strong (Curtins), Matthew Ramsden (Adept) for helping to push us forward, quite literally in some instances! Events like this really work for us and hopefully show just how seriously we take corporate responsibility at Simons.”
