Simons Group appoints new Logistics Director
Simons Group, has announced the appointment of a new Sector Director within its construction business.
Rob O’Brien, former Operations Director at McLaren Construction, will join Simons in September to lead its logistics sector.
Tom Robinson, Simons’ Chief Executive, said: “Rob brings a wealth of experience to Simons, particularly his knowledge of distribution and logistics projects. We’re looking forward to September when he’ll join the team and help drive further successes within this important sector.”
Rob was originally trained as a civil engineer working on road, rail and tunnelling projects with Balfour Beatty and Hochtief. His building experience was then developed with contractors including Buckingham, where he led projects including the construction of the Stadium MK, Milton Keynes and the London 2012 Olympics Handball Arena. Prior to joining McLaren, he spent more than four years in Australia, working on major schemes such as Elizabeth Quay in Perth.
