Simons Group launch volunteering programme for employees

Simons Group are proud to launch a new Volunteering and Community Engagement Programme, enabling every Simons employee to apply for up to 6 paid volunteering days each year (pro rata for part time employees). 

In a bid to critically measure social value across the company’s activity and to further engage employees with the company’s community engagement and corporate responsibility activities, Simons have created a new policy to allow further engagement during work hours.

Each project and team will identify to what level it can support such activity in a year and as a business, Simons will encourage employees to work with team members to find an option that suits the individual, the team and the company‘s customers.

Michelle Page, HR Manager said of the programme, “We believe that this programme can be a significant benefit to Simons, our customers, our people and the communities in which we work. It has been shown that this type of programme helps to support an organisation with recruitment and retention, enhances morale and work performance, supports training and development and helps to build local relationships.“
