Simons Group make new Director appointments
To support the business' planned growth, Simons have made internal promotions and an external appointment within the company‘s Construction business unit. John Hallam, an employee of Simons Group for over 25 years has been promoted to Sector Director of Retail. Miles Thomas, a member of the Construction team for over 8 years, has been promoted to Sector Director of Health and Pharmaceutical.
Matt Baller will be joining Simons in September as Operations Director for construction, with overall responsibility for construction operations. Matt joins from Carillion and brings a wealth of experience and success from his 18 years in their Building Division. Matt has most recently been the Director of Carillion’s Ecopod off site plantroom manufacturing company and prior to that ran the construction works in the East Midlands region.

We believe that these changes truly reflect and acknowledge John and Miles‘ roles within Simons and feel the structural change will only benefit our capabilities and offers within the construction business. Recent retail projects include Capital and Regional’s Kingfisher shopping centre in Redditch and Ipswich, new stores for John Lewis at Home and Waitrose in Horsham and framework projects for Marks and Spencer, to name a few.
Simons have a great history with healthcare, having carried out extensive works in Nottingham, under the Procure 21 framework as a valued component of Medicinq. Schemes are currently underway with works at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and in Cambridge for Nuffield Health.
