Simons start work on John Lewis Chelmsford fit out
Simons Group, has begun work on the internal fit out of John Lewis Chelmsford, the anchor tenant of the city’s new Bond Street development.
Work will create a three storey shop, with associated warehouse and support areas, an external three storey plant platform, a third party restaurant and coffee shop, basement car parking, passenger lifts and escalators, along with packaged plant to speed up installation. The shop is part of Chelmsford’s Bond Street development which includes shops, restaurants and cinema complex which is being delivered by Aquila Developments.

Community engagement will be high on the agenda throughout the works. As an associate member of the Considerate Constructor Scheme, Simons will work with John Lewis and the local community to ensure that any neighbours, and stakeholders are kept fully informed on progress .
